This unique procedure combines the properties of a Japanese Straightening with the softness and condition of a Keratin Treatment. Expand on your styling possibilities be it curly or strait, with exceptionally manageable hair. Unlike a Japanese Straightening treatment, your hair will hold a curl from a curling iron or roller set. You can wear your hair strait while maintaining its natural body. The treatment takes 3 to 5 hours from start to finish. Home care will require a sulfate free shampoo and the treatment will last up to 4 months.
Conventional Relaxers

Better known as a chemical straightening treatment. Ammonium Thioglycolate solution breaks down the bonds of the hair and restructures the shape when neutralized with an acidic solution. The process leaves the hair permanently straight for 3 months. You must wait a minimum of48 hours to shampoo after a conventional relaxer. For optimum condition and to ensure predictable results, other chemical services should be performed 1 week prior or after this procedure.
Japanese Straightener

Our Japanese Straightener has a higher Ph. solution than a conventional relaxer. The process is long and intensive. Hair is processed under a veil of saran wrap for 30 minutes. It is then rinsed and neutralized with an acidic solution to bring the hair’s Ph. level back to a 7.0. The hair is then dried and small sections are flat ironed until every strand is pin strait. This process will make the tightest curls and frizzy hair permanently straight. It takes 4-5 hours and it is recommended to wait 3 days before shampooing. 4
Keratin Treatment

The misconception of this process is that it is a relaxer or straightener. It is not. It is actually a smoothening treatment with variations in result. This process works differently than relaxers. When hair is damaged the cuticle becomes cracked and broken like the shingles of a roof. The Keratin and Keratin with collagen fill in the rough surface of cuticle. The hair is blown and flat ironed at 450 degrees, sealing each strand and smoothing out the cuticle surface. The result is soft hair that reflects light, shines and becomes significantly healthier, relaxed and smooth. Excessive porosity is diminished thus cutting drying time in half. The process takes about 2-3 hours and the hair cannot be shampooed for 1 day. Coppola requires 3 days before shampooing is recommended. During that time, under no circumstances do you use clips, ponytail or barrettes, as they will leave a line of demarcation. Keratin treatments are safe after color services and last up to 3 months and significantly reduce drying time and difficulty controlling curl and frizz.
